- When an incoming order is regarded as a priority, a request for SoundTag is included on all related purchase orders.
The recipient of each purchase order:
- Orders tags from SoundTag
- Programs the tags with unique identification codes
- Packs the tags with the shipments
- Once the shipments are packed by the provider, all the pertinent shipping information is automatically uploaded to the SoundTag Portal including a TDS (Time Date Stamp) of this event.
- Upon pick-up by a carrier a TDS of that event is also sent to the portal and the SoundTag system also:
- Follows the shipments via the carrier's own tracking system
- Upon delivery, the portal downloads shipment descriptions and associated tag IDs to the appropriate RFID handheld readers in the supply chain at one or thousands of sites for drop ship roll outs
- A TDS is logged into the portal at time of delivery
- Notifies each of the designated recipients of delivery via email
- In each receiving area, personnel employ the RFID handheld reader, now containing a description of the recently arrived priority package, to trigger a selected tag from more than 100 feet away
- The enclosed SoundTag pinpoints the location of the prioritized shipment with a very loud audible sound
- Upon retrieval of the shipment, a TDS is registered on the portal
